The 2020 Vendee Globe is the world’s most elite offshore race and will see Pip prepare both physically and mentally for the solo 24,000 mile race, circumnavigating the world on Superbijou, an IMOCA Open 60. Marlow are delighted to support Pip, whose career as a sailing athlete spans 20 years and has seen her gain two World first endurance records and win multiple international yacht races.
Paul Honess, Leisure Marine Director comments:
“Only 5 women in history, and fewer than 10 British skippers in total have ever finished the Vendee Globe and we are thrilled to be supporting yet another successful athlete. Marlow has a longstanding history of supporting sailors in the Vendee, and our high performing ropes are made for this type of challenge. We look forward to working with Pip and following her as she competes around the globe.”
As of today (9th May), Pip will be competing in the Bermudes 1000 Race where all Vendee hopefuls are looking to gain qualification.
